Another drawing for :iconcritterjam:!

I've never heard of Water Deer, but with the fangs and big ears, I wanted to give this guy a slightly tougher kick butt look than a normal deer would have. He actually turned out very Bat-like but I suppose it fits ;)

Agreed with the bat-like quality. I think the eyes also help, and that the deer is facing forward - the head shape.

It does have a very interesting bat-like quality to it with the fangs and the way the ears are designed` Does it actually swim around and hunt in water?

I believe it uses it's fangs to dig for roots o.o and they can also move them at will, drawing them back out of the way while they eat. Such an odd critter!

I'm not exactly sure why, but I love this. His grumpy face and big ears make me laugh out loud... but in a good way. ;)
